Wine Folly:

Wine folly describes cabernet sauvignon to have flavors of currant, black cherry, spices, cedar, and graphite. It described this wine as having a mild dry taste, a very full body, medium-high tannins, medium acidity, and a 13.5-15% ABV. It mentions that since the wine has a full flavor, it is good to pair with rich foods like grilled meats, and peppery sauces. It also mentions that cabernet sauvignon is grown all over the world.

My Review:

I really enjoy Josh wines because I think they have incredible value for their price, and this cabernet sauvignon was no different. I noticed smells of cherry, vanilla, and blackberry after swirling my glass. When I tasted it, I picked up on flavors of plumb, vanilla, and cinnamon. I did not pair this wine with food, but if I were to pair it, I would follow wine folly's advice and choose a rich meal. I think that lemon flavors would not mesh well with this wine, so I might choose a cheesy or caramelized onion risotto. The Josh website also says this wine pairs well with chocolate desserts, and I think a chocolate cake or molten lava cake would be an excellent pairing. Overall, I really enjoyed this wine and would definitely buy it again.
